Each Spring our teachers reflect upon the learning materials that were utilized and needed in their classrooms. Then, our teachers draft suggested school supply donations for the following year. Here are the grade level requests. Please note that all lists will total approximately $30 or less. If you can’t find an item or two – that's ok! The school purchases supplies for each classroom, as well. Your child will have access to the tools they need for learning. Principles That Guide Us page 101 of Comprehension and Collaboration by Harvey and Daniels "Materials and supplies are vital as well. ...Clipboards, notebooks, and tablets are easily accessible. … An array of sharp pencils, crayons, paints, fat and skinny markers, and pens reside in cans and cubbies scattered around the room. Blank paper, lined paper, chart paper, butcher paper, index cards, and Postits of every imaginable size and shape are within easy reach. No more mid-class refrains of "I forgot to bring a pen" or "Can I go sharpen a pencil?" We eliminate the opportunity for kids to waste time procuring resources. …. We create a culture of abundance, not scarcity, and flood the room with resources that are within arm's length."
